Hunting for a New Pair of Earphones
I on the hunt for a new pair of earphones. I’ve been looking around and doing some research on a few brands. Now my budget isn’t big but I’d love to get something that would sound great, look good (mental note; if it looks good, it doesn’t necessarily sounds good) and sturdy.
Brands I’ve been looking into are;
Sony – What can I say, I’m a fanboy
Ultimate Ears – Can get really pricey
Klipsch – Tad too pricey
Philips – Not too sure about their sound
Monster – I know they make good cables, not sure about their earphones and surely pricey
Bose – Overpriced, nice designs
I think I’ll take my time to really sit and read up on these brands and I’ll post an update once I get them in the near future.

I think you are looking at wrong companies (though UE and Klipsch shoud be OK). If you want the real meat, look at the offers of Beyerdynamic, AKG, Sennheiser, Koss, Grado, Audio Technica, Shure… Yes, they all have affordable and high quality models. My suggestions around and under 50$ are:
Sennheiser PX 100, PX 200, CX 300
Koss PortaPro, Koss The Plug (the ultimate LoFi earphones!)
and my favourite: Beyerdynamic DT235
Thanks mate for the suggestions. I got meself a pair of UE700s. I like how they’re so light and still manage to pack 2 drivers in it. Lovin’ the sound so far. Will definitely look into those models you’ve suggested just to give a test run! Thanks again mate!
